No longer on the river and, again, an empty nester. Back to living on Fleming Island and making some more friends!

I should be lying down!

I have a headache! Even though I took a pain reliever during the church meeting, I still have it. This usually happens when I have been crying and while I am not sobbing, more than once this weekend I have shed tears, and today is no different. Bible study was quite interesting, with the discussion being about the role of Christians and their civil government. Today was about 'rendering unto Caesar', not a popular subject at this time of the year.

The children of the Sunday school sang at the beginning of our worship service and the choir sang the Psalm, "On Eagles' Wings". It was especially moving to me as I thought about my father-in-law.....Kristi directed us and said we sounded really good. I will trust her judgment on this and am glad we made a joyful noise! We had a couple military guests today, one from Tampa and one from WI. A few more people in the pews this week, up from the 50's where we had been. Perhaps the warmer weather is allowing folks to come out a bit now! It was 72 above zero when I came home from the church meeting.

As of this morning there was no change to Arno's condition, although he is showing signs from the lack of circulation. I wondered if it was possible to do some physical therapy or something to improve the circulation, if that is advisable at this point. Plans at this point will be to head up to WI this week, pending the call that Arno has gone home. Guess I should be getting the card table set up to pack my luggage for the two week visit. Still have church projects in the works to get out before I take off. The good news is that I can e-mail the unfinished newsletter to myself and work on it from Mom's house. Quit wasting time here and get at it, Kim!

Yes, I will, in a minute, but first I want to tell about last night's Dinner and a Movie. My chili was quite tasty, if I do say so myself, and the dinner rolls perfect for sopping up the last of the tomato. Maggie, Twila, Judy, and I enjoyed watching "The Time Traveler's Wife" which was so good, but extremely confusing. It might require another viewing to see if I can get it all figured out. Having it take place in different years at the same time made it difficult to keep up! Justin had stopped at Publix on the way to my house that morning and brought me a chocolate cake for our dessert. I had asked him for a half cake but they did have any. I can freeze the half we did not eat and freeze the yogurt he bought for me, too.

I just got word that my father-in-law passed away about 2:00 pm this afternoon in Green Bay. Thanks to all who kept him in their prayers, he is now on the wings of the eagles..........
