.....until I watch a TV show! That almost never happens, when I am 'excited' about watching a TV program but this one is special. It is a show on HGTV called "Selling New York", where Realtors try to sell properties in The Big Apple! It actually came on the air a week ago but I missed the first episode by mistake. This is something I am looking very much forward to. Love that Big Apple!

Tonight at some point I will begin my fasting, while my sister, Jill, is preparing for a far more exciting test which she will undergo tomorrow. My other sister, Lynn, is taking a day of vacation so she can be Jill's driver and extra set of ears, if needed. I, on the other hand, will be just fine driving myself there and back for my LifeLine Screening in the morning. Because I asked to have the additional blood work done, fasting is required. Oh wait, I think I would need to fast for the abdominal aorta testing being performed. Whatever, fasting is fasting and already I don't like it! Not so much the avoiding food but also the not drinking, i.e. soda!!

This morning was our Bible study at Victory, by 'our' I mean Justin and me. Pastor was back today and I asked him the question about what Noah's address was before the Great Flood. All he could really tell us was that at the time of Noah and the destruction of the earth, Noah lived in the 'cradle of civilization' which could have gone as far south as Egypt and as far north as where the Garden of Eden is thought to have been. So, to answer the question, we do not know where Noah set sail from nor how far he floated, not sailed, during the Flood. Pastor said we can all watch the DVDs of the Flood when we get to heaven---ha!

The class was very interesting today, although it was funny, when we first began. Justin asked me if he should go to my car to get the right books....I had brought in the previous study's books and had accidentally tossed the correct ones when I cleaned out my car the other day. Rats! Bonnie had a couple extra books to give us and we were able to give one back because Justin does not take notes. Justin did a lion's share of reading today and I did a lesser amount than he did. We are studying the Apostles' Creed, it's various statements, and it really causes one to pay closer attention to what we pray every time.

Justin and I went to lunch, with me getting to choose where we dined---Mimi's! I had half of my meatloaf sandwich and he had his usual jambalaya. We each took a box for our food while we shared an order of bread pudding. I brought part of that home, too! So I now have a partial stromboli, some of my chicken tenders from Monday, and half a meatloaf sandwich to enjoy after my fast!

It is raining now, as predicted, with the weather supposed to be clearing up in time for Yard Day at church tomorrow. I sent out a reminder e-mail as requested about the Yard Day on Saturday and the bake sale on Sunday but Renee called me to say it was Friday and not Saturday----oooops! I am not sure what kind of turn-out there will be on a workday/weekday but I know I cannot make it due to my appointment. I sent out a correcting e-mail right behind the first one and hope that no one is too mixed up about it. My plan was to buy a flat of flowers to be planted around the sign where Timmy's memorial pieces are resting but now I do not know if I will have a chance...

...as I have to be here earlier in the morning to get my new cable 'tools' which are being distributed by Comcast and I have to be here personally to receive mine. Which explains why the TV station keeps going in and out with some regularity. Supposedly the new boxes or receivers we get tomorrow will help with the signal and since I have not been able to get the Preview Channel or the local weather station, and now, yes, HGTV (ugh!!!!), which means I cannot see my show! Quick, I need the box! Also, supposedly the boxes are at no additional charge and that had better be the truth!

Ooooh, add lightning to the fun now! Our first thunder and lightning storm with rain in 2010. I really do hope that the rain will not affect the Yard Day and I do hope people show up!

I had such a nice day today overall. After leaving Justin at Victory again after lunch, I went in to use the bathroom before driving back to Orange Park. Originally I had suggested that we stop at Publix to get postage stamps but told Justin I would get them myself later. I sure did not want him late for class! I stopped at Winn-Dixie where a young man was out gathering carts. When he spotted me, he called out, "Hello, gorgeous! Are you going to sing for me today?" He was the bagger who was working the day I could not stop myself from singing "One Less Bell to Answer", which was playing over their Muzak a couple months ago. I guess he remembers me!

I checked our their full meal special. It sounded good at first: spiral-cut ham with free dinner rolls, mac' n cheese, ice cream, and soda. BUT the hams were all so big and almost all close to $30. Nah, not for non-Honey Baked Ham. I did get some cut fruit for tomorrow night's Dinner and a Movie and some berries to serve on shortbread, which I already have in the freezer. And the stamps! As I was checking out I asked the young man how many stamps came on a card, and then told him I needed three cards of stamps. He said, "You must be sending alot of letters...." and I told him I was doing two mailings for my church, requiring the stamps. They are just so engaging at Winn-Dixie and good to their customers----but, I am still a dyed-in-the-wool Publix shopper! They have Muzak, too, you know!
