No longer on the river and, again, an empty nester. Back to living on Fleming Island and making some more friends!

Fun in the classroom

This morning I had the opportunity to again pitch in to help with crafts in the classroom at our church's preschool. At first I was going to have to decline since Justin was expected to be off work and would attend Bible study with me at Victory. But, then, his work schedule was changed and he was going to be working so I told Michael I would be there. And then, Justin's schedule changed again, and is off, but it's too late now, I'm going to preschool!
I just love the look on Betty's face as she watches the kids do their painting with Q-tips. Both Judy's table and Betty's were working on the same type of project while my groups worked on lunch bag turkeys. I had to re-work some of them because their helper messed up stapling the turkey heads to the bag (me!!!). "Oh, Miss Kim..." They have a nice system of keeping the kids moving from 'center' to 'center' to complete the various items.
This is almost looks good enough to eat!

The thank-you gift from them was a bean-coated candle holder. We volunteers were not required to help with this project, thankfully, because it looks complicated! Lots of glue, mixed dry beans and corn shaped in a plastic cup, with the candle stuffed down into it. Cute!
