No longer on the river and, again, an empty nester. Back to living on Fleming Island and making some more friends!

Let the fun begin!

Linda and I were sleepy heads this morning, enjoying vacation time. Actually it is Linda's vacation but she is sharing it with me. At first the airbed she slept on was a bit cool for her and the ceiling fan was on, which neither of us could reach the chain to turn off. She wrapped herself in the blanket, which Justin had assured me was plenty warm. Thursday night Justin and I added another layer of warmth both under the fitted sheet and over the top of the waffle knit blanket, which now keeps her cozy warm. He also turned off the fan!

Our Thursday began with Bible study at Victory, Justin along with us. As soon as we walked in, Justin was enlisted to assist our friends with their iPad, the photo which appeared yesterday. At last our class finished our study "Definitions" so next week will begin the very last in this study series from Concordia Publishing House. They are going electronic with their publication so I am not sure what that means for us in class.

After class the three of us went to PF Chang, after declining an invitation to Longhorn with some of the ladies. Linda absolutely LOVED Chang, as did we, this being Linda's first visit. I brought home my leftovers, of course. Justin had me stop at Target and we ladies waited in the car while he ran in for soda, which was 3/$9. Too good a price to pass up!
When we got home, Linda and I retired to my room to watch/listen to the Internet radio show on the Roku. I had some deskwork to do and Linda took her rest during the show. Later, I did close my eyes for a bit to be rested for our dinner. We had dinner at The Club, another first for Linda, with Lee joining us two ladies. They had met each other last September when Linda was here visiting. We had a marvelous dinner and even better visit!

When Linda and I got back from dinner and before going to bed, we each had what Justin calls a 'loving cup' of his concoction, Apple Pie. It's a rather delicious, pie-flavored adult beverage which allows for good sleep. He had mixed this up for Christmas parties, his 'dish to pass', as he called it. Justin had needed a funnel to transfer the cooked product into the bottles again so Mom sent hers home with me for his purposes. He used it the other night to refill one of the bottles and wanted me to tell Grandma he used her funnel for this. Not sure if that's what she had in mind for it's use but he appreciated it!

Speaking of appreciation---he is so tickled to have found and purchased something for his mama. When he stopped for groceries the other night, he saw the new Windex dispenser. It's called Windex Touch-Up, and to use it one simply places the paper towel or cloth on top of the dispenser and presses down. A small amount sprays upward onto the cloth and away you go! I love it! He told me he is telling everyone, including his father, how he bought this for his mother. There should never again be any finger prints on my microwave buttons!
