No longer on the river and, again, an empty nester. Back to living on Fleming Island and making some more friends!

Another awesome Thursday

My boy and I had a great day together, made possible by not having rain days this week and his co-worker having a family outing planned for today. The guys made the arrangements with their boss and it worked out great for all of them. As soon as Justin heard that Caleb needed off on Thursday, he was excited at being able to attend Bible study at Victory. Love this!

On Wednesday night he worked some extra hours 'mending fences' so appreciated having the extra couple of hours of sleep before having to get moving this a.m. We left here a bit after 9:00 because of stopping at Racetrack for sodas. Justin ran in while I was talking with Mom (this time I hung up after talking with her and didn't call her back with a bosom dial, like last week!)

We were missing a few people today at class but it was still quite a good discussion. Pastor caught us up on folks in the congregation to pray for, those suffering with terminal illnesses and those undergoing a treatment. The topic for discussion in this booklet is about repentance. Today's chapter was a comparison between denominations and their addressing of repentance/penance, etc. Always good for discussion.

It was a special day for me because Suzanne S. brought me four or five Target bags of cast-off clothes. She has lost weight and does not wish to regain, so asked me if I wanted the clothes or knew someone who could use them. YES! To make it even better, she also brought a tray with chocolate frosted rice krispy treats for the group. Pastor and I shared the remainder of the tray, since he read an article about how good cocoa is for us. Yeah, that's where I was going too.....

I did tell the group how these treats are on my funeral menu. After Bible study when Pastor and I were dividing up the booty, Justin was saying how they will need tag-team organists for my funeral service because of all the hymns I have chosen. Pastor H. laughed and then hugged my shoulders, telling me to quit planning. He said I had work to do here on earth, to spread my joy around. That is great encouragement, but I don't think he realizes that some of my joy comes from Rice Krispy Treats!!!
