Funny and cool

I was thinking about something I meant to write and never remembered to do it---a couple weeks ago before I took the items to the resale shop, Justin and I met my neighbors in the lobby. I knew Hugh got several papers a day so I asked him if I could please have a few pages for wrapping breakables, to pack in the boxes. Hugh gets the local paper, the Times Union, as well as the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. He said he would drop one off when he was done with them and I said I didn’t need much, only a few sheets or so. He jokingly said he would bring the New York Times and stick it in my door, to horrify me, knowing how I feel about the NYT. He is so funny! I appreciate his donation to the resale shop!

Friday evening when Justin and I were at Wal*Mart, he was looking in the men’s department for a certain brand of t-shirt. We had gotten a couple last fall from the sale rack which were his favorite but we were striking out this visit. As I stood there at the racks, a cute little young lady came up to me. She looked so familiar to me but I did not place her immediately. The young lady said, “Excuse me, are you Miss Kim?” and I said I was. She said that has seen me at church when she comes with her grandma, Jean N. Oh, yes! I remember now! She reminded me her name is Hannah and that she was shopping with her daddy, who is one of Jean’s twins. Justin was blown away that she came up to me and asked, “Are you Miss Kim?”

I just enjoy such things as this!
