Roaring with laughter

Listening to radio and Internet programs today and from yesterday, I am spending a good deal of time in "eyes closed-head back-chair moving" laughter! They are just tearing me up! One program that I get via a podcast has one of the most obnoxious singers belting out his own version of "Happy Days Are Here Again!", with different stanzas. He does this every time there is something of significance about which to  sing. This time it was the victorious debate on Wednesday night. My head hurts when I cry, and also, it seems, when I laugh this hard! One day at the pool, I laughed so hard I got a cramp in my side. Now that's a good day!

One of those I was with that day when I laughed so very hard is Jacquie, one of my newest friends. She told me, "You made our summer!", which made mine! We are having lunch today at The Club, eating inside 'the house' instead of poolside, at her request, which requires I put on my church pants. For her, I will do it!
This is Justin's work truck, parked in OPCC
Justin sent me an urgent text message this a.m. reporting he accidentally (how else would this happen?) locked his keys in the car at 'the farm'. He asked me, "How can we arrange for you to bring me the extra key from my room?" He asked that exactly as I would, leaving me no wiggle room to get out of it. Grudgingly, a bit, I got up and dressed, to take his key to the OP Country Club. Thankfully they were working locally today and I didn't have to go too far. His boss had to call the guard house to let them know I was coming so they let me in.
On yesterday's last hour of the Internet radio show, they were discussing a recipe for something called 'Funeral Potatoes'. Oh, my goodness! I am sure I have had them before, the basis being frozen hash browns, with added cheese, cream of chicken soup, and crushed potato chips on top. There might have been something else, but it sounds good just this way. He ended the recipe with adding two pounds of butter, but then changed it to three tablespoons. No wonder they are for funerals!
