“Nothing Tips Like a Cow” took First Place tonight at Trivia!!
This is good news---the less than good news is that we had three teams playing
and two of them were rookies. None of the regulars besides us showed up to play
and we mopped the floor with the new people. One of the teams named themselves “We
just came to eat”, which I think is quite comical. I hope they come again next
week.
On the set of GBTV, the guys are all seated on the sofas with
the coffee table between them heavy laden with pizza, lemon meringue pie,
Oreos, and Diet Coke. That sounds like my kinda party. They are looking rather
sleepy since some have been on the job since 5:00 a.m., whether at home or at
the studio. It will be a long night, especially since the polls don’t close out
west until two hours after the east coast does. Since Super Tuesday has such a
vast spread of states, from Vermont to Idaho, this could take a while to be
settled. I won’t promise to hang in there until all the precincts are in, I
might turn over right now and go to sleep. But hate to miss any of the
excitement…
Speaking of excitement, I went to the bank and to Publix this
afternoon. Besides soda, I got the ingredients for making vegetable soup. I
already had the hamburger but needed the veggies (really??) and Blood Mary Mix
for the base. Got home and had forgotten the BMM. How does that happen? No
worries, Justin and I stopped on the way home from Trivia to get some, but, in
the meantime, I made up the rest of it sans the BMM. Tomorrow I will ‘stew’ it
again, this time with the Mix!
