But, I love it, love it! As I write this moment, the Jags are ahead by a touch down with less than 5 minutes to go but anything in the world can happen yet. Mom can't stand the drama of watching a Packer game, has Lynn call her with updates or final scores instead of watching it herself. The sky is absolutely gorgeous in pink and grey over blue, making the river reflect in pink as well. The Lord did a good job on this sunset tonight!

I am hearing the pitter patter of little feet upstairs which means Travis and Jessica are home from their honeymoon. Now it will be only campaigning until November 4th. Most folks seem to feel he's got it locked up since the contender is only running against him based on the Poker Room at the dog track, "affecting" those who live on River Road. Folks not in this particular neighborhood shrug their shoulders and ask, "So what?". I hope that sentiment is correct and Travis wins handily.

I am watching a recorded program called "The Starter Wife" which is a cross between totally wretched and delightful. It takes place in shallow Hollywood where the people are less friends, more convenience. If someone breaks up with someone more "important", the lesser person is snubbed completely. Like high school but on a much grander scale. The star is Debra Messing from "Will and Grace" so, of course, there is a gay man in this show, too. Molly is married to a movie mogul who is a complete jerk but provides for her nicely, more than nicely. He decides he's done with her, she was basically "let go", in business terms. Now her so-called 'friends' are no longer speaking to her, won't answer the door if she comes, or take her calls. She is blacklisted because her friends' spouses are connected to Molly's ex. Huh.....some of her friends are real ones, including the gay man, plus she's made a new friend in the summer community where she's staying. Good for her, she's picking up the pieces!!!

The reason I taped a 'current' TV program is because I saw a preview where she becomes a writer in her own right (pun intended) based upon her personal journal and that is why I chose to record it. I am afraid it will be too much like the Sex and the City show, which I've heard about but never watched. But, do like the idea of her becoming a writer. Maybe she'll pull a "Francis" and move to Tuscany! Molly does have a young daughter, though, whom she genuinely loves, not like the father who uses the child like a shield or wedge into groups. Molly appears to have the child's interests at heart. I'll let you know if I'll watch a new show or not. Don't bet on it, though. I only recently saw a Law and Order with the DA being Jack, who used to be 'only' an ADA!!!! Talk about stubborn! My viewing is usually programs 10 years old, "Frasier", "Seinfeld" and "JAG".....

Today after worship, Kathy and Brian joined me for lunch at Aron's, although he grabbed the bill on us. We, then, came over here and played a quick game of Seinfeld trivia on the 'party' setting. It just keeps throwing out clues or what have you for any of us to answer, putting no pressure on any of the players. Paul wasn't able to come today as he was feeling poorly and didn't go to church or teach his class. His sister-in-law's family moved yesterday, finally, after living with family for many months. He was exhausted, working until 9:00 pm moving umpteen curio cabinets, according to him. I told him he'll be a welcome contender as I soundly defeated my two other players.

By the way, the Jags won the game in Mile High Stadium!!! While the game was on I also wrote a note to Judy R. about her pending visit starting the 9th of November. I so 'cited! Our days and/or evenings are filling up which sort of changes our plans to go up to Savannah. It's more than a day trip and I couldn't clear enough time between events to allow for it. Judy has a niece in the area and we are going to connect with her during the visit, which may play into our plan making. I drove people here nuts before Lynn and family came in August and now I'll start with Judy's visit!

Our Bible study this a.m. was fabulous, as we took a look at the new Christian Worship Supplement. We listened to some of the tunes on the MIDI and sang a couple with the MIDI and with Robbie. Pastor had him play "In Christ Alone" which we sang in parts, simply because we knew them. When the class was over, too quickly, one of the ladies came up to me and excitedly said she needs to pick new hymns for her funeral now because she loves the ones we sang today! Score one or two or more for the Supplement!!!!! I've not heard any negative comments but we've not incorporated it into our worship in full yet. We are visiting the CWS again next week and then two weeks in November. I wish more would come to the classes to become familiar and attached, but that would be wishful thinking.....As I told Pastor after class, if the 150 year old congregations can accept and appreciate adding instruments to its worship, a 30 year old one certainly can!!!

Pastor's sermon today was timely, based on the reading from Isaiah about the rule of Cyrus. In a nutshell, we are assured that regardless of what happens around and to us, we can be comforted to know the Lord is in charge and has things well in hand---His hand! This was important to be reminded of as some are struggling under the financial burdens and jobloss or threat thereof. Also about the elections coming up, even if it doesn't go the way we expect it should have, our comfort is our Comforter! These readings are pre-determined and it turned out to be the perfect readings for this particular time in our lives. Funny how the Word is able to do that!

Good day for you yesterday. Both of your favorite teams pulling off wins. I meant to call Jamie and rub it in about the Bears. I still do not understand why he changed his alliance. Maybe he will come to his sense yet. I am going to email you pictures he sent. Hope you can open them. Then you can see Mister Bryson standing on his own. Yes his head is still so round and has hair on it now.
He is so much like his daddy! I have pictures here of Jamie, round head and bald as a cue ball! I'll look for the photos you sent.
I heard about your afternoon adventure of chasing Lynn around Sheboygan with her telephone. If she had bigger bosoms, she'd keep her phone closer to her heart!
Go Pack, Go!
Hugs,
Kim
This message was left by Jami in her blog yesterday and I wish to share it with you---imagine how special she makes me feel!
"I want to take a special opportunity to recognize my friend and fellow blogger Kim. Kim, thank you for your support and how uplifting you are. You truly are a special person, and I'm so glad you're in my life. I look forward to the day when Dorsey and I can come see you in beautiful Florida."
Jami is very right about you. I am glad that you are in my life too! Never a dull moment with you around. Yes it was a nice ride to Sheybogan. I am glad that it all worked out. Some very awesome art done by God on the trees. Love this time of the year.
