Hours on the phone today

The other day I got an e-mail from Sprint, offering some different calling plans, costing less money. I thought it was worth looking into so I viewed a few options. Oops! I am in the plan I need as it seems I really rack up the minutes in a month's time. Fortunately my plan is unlimited so it works perfectly for me. None of the cheaper plans allow for all my talking and text messaging. But, it was worth a look-see. I have no other phone, my cell is my primary line, so it gets used. Whatever. Today alone I had a half hour, at least, talk with my mom as I drove to Bible study and then at least an hour with my sister-in-law in WI, although I don't think it counts against my talk time if she calls me. Tonight another lengthy call from my other friend ....Just like with Linda J.---we talk for an hour and still have words left over!

Tomorrow a group from church is meeting to have dinner at Mimi's before going to a concert at Victory. I made the arrangements today but have to modify them in the morning as a few people decided to not eat first, due to time constraints and such. It might be too much of a rush, but the hostess told me they could make sure to get us fed and out the door. We are so used to that!!! Really, we will be on our best behavior since I am fairly regular there.

Justin chose Applebee's for lunch today as he was hungry for Sante Fe Chicken Salad. I had two mini-burgers, bringing the third one home with the fries Justin did not eat. The buns used for the burgers are almost like homemade bread. And so delicious!

This evening I accomplished a good deal of the church work that was pending. Both printers were cranking out posters, plus e-mails were sent. I found a couple sites on-line to post free events so got our Branches concert posted on them. It never hurts to have free advertising, right? Tomorrow morning John is coming to check out my electrical situations, hopefully he can help me with them. He will be here around 9:30 or so which means I will not need to up and dressed terribly early. I do want to remove the silver from my hair at some point so it might be best to do that before he comes...we'll see just how ambitious I am in the morning. If I do not stay up too late tonight, I might be able to get an early start.

Today after Justin and I had lunch, he accompanied me to Publix where his wonderful mommy saw fit to buy him some cereal, rice dinners, milk, eggs, and corn bread mix. I did get the laundry soap I needed which is good, because sometimes I leave the store without the items I intended to get. I also bought ingredients for making a kettle of chili for Dinner and a Movie night, and I only hope Twila can make it. Her back/hip is giving her a fit so she is laying low with her heat pad on it, feet up. I hope I hope I hope she can come!

I was telling Justin how Pastor called me a cable snob because I am not watching the Olympics and Justin said I would probably like the figure skating. Really? Me??? His theory is that I would like the music they skate to, often Sarah Brightman or Andrea Bocelli, claiming they use music not on my CDs. Hmmm....I think he is up to something here, trying to lure me into watching the Olympics. Perhaps the Olympics are recapped on the Internet and I can see/hear the skaters and their dance music without being drawn in. I am a terrible, stubborn snob sometimes!

Good morning,
I would not call you a snob, you are just very choosy!

It is good to be home! I did have fun with the girls, but home is always best.

We had a great Bible study last night, a new gal joined us. Candy Schwarz, the daughter of Mike & Diane, she is married and lives in Appleton. When we introduced ourselves, she said she remembered me as the secretary at FG. She was surprised to hear that I'm still there.

Everyone is looking forward to you joining us!

Have a blessed day,
Love and hugs

God morning, Linda J.!

Thanks for coming to my defense on the cable vs. broadcast debate! I am selective when it comes to being distracted by the TV!

I tried to watch the men's ice skating last night and after the intro drama, facts and figures by the moderators, a guy finally came out to skate. I did not know the music and was unimpressed by the routine....turned it off. I tried!

I remember when Candice was born! Mike was our trim man when we built in Manty and I was at his wedding. We went to school from first grade through MLHS, of course. "Are you still there?"...gotta love that question!!!

Looking forward to attending the study with you as your guest!

Hugs,

Kim

Hey Kim,

Cable snob that's funny! What do you watch if your not doing the Olympics? Or are you not watching tv at all?

You must use your phone alot if you need unlimited minutes, with no home phone at all. do you do Internet too?

Bye!

Hi Anon.:

I do like to watch, besides Fox News programs, "Seinfeld" or "Law and Order", stuff like that. Hulu.com is a great resource for watching rerun programs, like "House", which I also catch on cable. I have simple needs!

No, I do not use Internet on my phone, talking and text messages only. One less thing to distract me! My plan has unlimited long distance, local, and texting, which is fine for me.

Bye yourself!
