…but for now, the kids and their escorts are enjoying a Harry Potter movie in the family room, getting ready for tomorrow’s premier of the final in the series. They are going to the World Golf Village to the IMAX to see it, which made Justin envious to hear. I guess it’s in 3D there, not sure if that’s true for every showing or just for the IMAX. Shortly, I will be going to bed but the grown ups will see to it that things are buttoned up when they leave. The movie is lengthy so a pizza was popped in the oven to hold them over. There is also microwave popcorn and small bags of snacks for them to enjoy while they watch.
Earlier, when enjoying greatly a phone conversation with Linda J., I saw the moon rising, pink against a steel-grey sky. Now, it is nowhere in sight, hidden by the clouds. Around 4:00 pm or so thunder was rolling as a storm came down the river, but not a single drop happened here. I even stepped outside to make sure as some of my Facebook friends were reporting rain.
On my TV is an episode of “Frasier” titled “The One Where Woody Comes to Visit”, the bartender from Frasier’s days on Cheers. Or rather his nights on “Cheers”. It always makes me laugh, some of the exchanges are simply priceless. “Niles, would you like to join Woody and me for some pizza and beer?” “Why not? I’d love to share a pizza with a couple of rapscallions” to which Woody replies, as Frasier is ordering the pizza, “Could you make that half pepperoni and half rapscallion???” Tears me up every time! Woody is concerned that Frasier’s life is boring and that he has no plans, but it was really that Frasier rather cleared his schedule to spend time with Woody. It came back to bite him, making himself appear sympathetic rather than successful and happy with his life. While Frasier feels sorry for Woody, who has little success business-wise, he is happily married with two children back home. It ends up being a horse apiece. The parting scene has the two men drinking a stein of beer, tapping their glasses and saying, “Cheers”.
Justin and I attended Bible study today, a new class looking at how Christ crushed Satan’s head, and the ramifications of man’s fall into sin, the Promise made in the Garden and the fulfillment thereof. I looked ahead!
The other night I called Jessica, my upstairs neighbor, to see if she needed anything from the store. Being quite close to her delivery date, it is not easy for her to lug her 15 month and herself through the store. She asked for organic skim milk, which I found interesting. Joanne, when she lived with me, drank some funky milk, too, only hers was soy or something like that. One of my other friends from church also uses the organic milk so she doesn’t get hormones and something else. I have no problem with hormones, considering skim milk to be as innocent as anything else. I am willing to roll the dice when it comes to milk, especially since the cost difference is significant.
It’s getting so late, I think I will end this for tonight. Perhaps in the morning I can add more but for now, this will have to do. Sleep the sleep of the just, all! Good night, Linda J.!!!! My sides still ache from laughing and I have stains from my tears…..

Good morning Kim,
we did have a couple good laughs! We need to do that more often!
I could not see the moon, too many clouds. Hope I get to see it tonight!
Have a blessed day,
Linda J
Hi Linda J.!
Just as I was going to bed, I took one last look, and sure enough, barely visible was the moon, behind the clouds. The night before was glorious and now I share our moon with my young friends from CO too!
You truly warmed my heart with the kind things you told me, a real boost, and I thank you!
Love and warm hugs,
Kim
