This quilt was made for a show last year by my friend, Dawn, from Victory. She won Best of Show, for the obvious reasons. What is a bit hard to see are the nearly 3000 beads sown into the pattern, signifying the number of souls lost that day, when the Islamic terrorists attacked the United States. Along the lower edge Dawn put the cities directly affected by the attacks: New York City, Washington, DC, and Shanksville, PA.
