My photo
No longer on the river and, again, an empty nester. Back to living on Fleming Island and making some more friends!

Above the fray...

...or below the fray, as it were. More like a terrible racket, making it most difficult for me to listen to my radio and Internet programs today. The workmen are using the hammer drill or similar device upstairs, and it is rattling my fillings. It is a necessary evil in order to accomplish the tear out going on, and, therefore, I roll with the punches. Or the racket, in this case. No nap for me this afternoon!

I call this photo 'Cross Eyes'
Julia, at Great Hang Ups Gallery, let me know that there is another show coming up this spring with the theme of "Vision". Immediately a photo came to mind, but I am not sure it is good enough to enter in the show. I sent her the scanned photo to get her opinion. I'd love to enter it but I understand entirely if it is not sharp enough for the show. Will put my thinking cap on to see what else I might have to enter. Don't have time to paint anything new....

The wall-to-wall coverage yesterday of the capture/kill of Chris Dorner in the hills of San Bernadino, CA took over the time of The Five. Linda and I chatted anyway, as she gears herself for another trip to Chicago. Her son's mom-in-law did pass away soon after being disconnected from life support. Tommy and she will be going to Chicago to pay their respects to the family plus help with the girls. She has such a good helper at church and had worked far enough ahead so as not to leave them in the lurch. Nothing worse than a church in the lurch!
