Well, the storms didn't actually arrive until the wee hours of the morning, resulting in torrential rains falling in the area during the morning rush hour. Following Facebook, I read account upon account of slow moving traffic, overturned vehicles from hydroplaning, and basically a pain in the butt for those having to go to work in that weather.
My son was NOT among those battling the weather and roads. His boss let him know early that today would be a washed out, so Justin posted a note for me on the microwave oven door letting me know. He had a feeling I'd come flying in to wake him up, thinking he'd overslept! He did manage to go back to sleep for a couple of hours after getting his call from the boss. Good for him, since he was still pooped from working all day Saturday and a long day (12 hours) on Monday. I guess he's tired!
When he got up, he came to my room to make some plans for the day. First order of business was going to Koko's for lunch. Sounds good to me! We also swung by Wal*Mart as a scrip was ready for me to pick up, and I also got a bag of Easter candy suitable to be stuffed in the plastic eggs for the hunt at church. It's a foreign type of candy, something from Sponge Bob, so neither of us is tempted to break that bag open. Hopefully kids like it, right?
