Justin's birthday party

These lovely ladies are enjoying a light repast in the river room. Twila, Olivia, Betty (on sofa) and Jean share the view and meal together. Martie and her little grandson, Mark, came, too, but she prefers to not have her photos published. She was there, could not miss Justin's birthday party, right?

Justin was really hoping Ellen would come so she risked life and limb driving back from the beach in a pouring rainstorm to be there! Her daughter, Ashley Rose, is standing behind Ellen in the doorway. Justin is checking something on his cell phone, of course!

Olivia offered to take a picture of Justin and me as he is opening his birthday cards. This is the better shot of us, although Sarah popped through just as Olivia clicked the photo. I cropped her out, but left a tiny blur of blonde hair in the lower left side. Ashley Rose is again in the background. Justin and I both have had our share of sunshine this season!

Due to the recession, Justin only had four candles on his birthday cake! He was able to blow them out without spitting on it while doing so! Memrie is watching him intently, with such a cute look on her face! Betty can't get over how big she is getting already, looking at 2nd grade already this fall!

When did our kids get to be this old already? I sure hope Justin enjoyed his birthday. Time to finish getting ready for work. Meet with the new pastor tonight also. Did I tell you that dan is going down to Jamie's a week from Tuesday. Then that Friday I will go and spend the weekend and come back on Sunday. Hannah and Jamie want to take Dan to Wisconsin Dells. It will be good for him to get away before school starts up again. Sunny and perhaps rainy hugs!

Hi Jill,

Well, I guess with the regular feedings and waterings, they just grew up. According to plan, often to our chagrin...Just remember that getting older does not equal growing up!

Hugs,

Kim

Hi again Jill,

I hit 'go' too quickly---I hope your visit with Pastor Schaefer goes well. Mom said she already warned him about me....he will have to judge you for himself!!!

Glad that Danny is going on a little trip by himself...that's great! I wish he could have gotten a little summer job this season, it is time!

Hugs again,

Kim
