High anxiety days

This buying a new, or different, vehicle business is quite stressful...awash in indecision and second-guessing ourselves. Justin chose a 'new' truck last week Sunday but it was not yet ready to come home. In fact, it had not even been 'processed' for sale by the dealership. The salesman figured it would be ready for him on Monday some time. They had to perform a safety check on the truck, making sure it's road-worthy and so on.

In the meantime, though, Justin's boss began searching for a suitable vehicle to buy, other than the one previously selected. That really stirred things up! Not the help wasn't appreciated, because it certainly was, but it made us concerned we'd goofed on our original choice. Justin was torn between the truck being processed and anything his boss found.

The salesman contacted Justin to let him know that they had to order parts for the truck so it wouldn't be ready until Tuesday. With all the vacilating, I had my neighbor look at the paperwork with her "lawyer-eyes" and she figured that we could back out if we wanted to since money had not exchanged hands. Justin had a particularly exhaustin week at work, long days in the heat, and so on, so he was willing to put off going to get the truck until he was ready. We'll see how that goes...

Today was Bible study at Victory. We were a sparce group with some folks traveling in MI and others simply absent. Those of us there enjoyed the class greatly, beginning the class with prayer for those suffering or facing loss. One woman had lost her younger brother that week, and her husband and she were flying out the next day for IL. Another couple from the congregation had to put their son, in his 20's, under Hospice care, due to untreatable organ failure. Needless to say, there was a pall over the room, despite the uplifting promises in Isaiah 27. "and those who were lost in the land of Assyria and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt will come and worship the Lord on the holy mountain at Jerusalem."  And we worry about our choice of a used truck???
